転職サイトCVLibraryの調査によると、64%の被雇用者が残業をしているにもかかわらず、半数以上が月末に資金難を感じている、とのことです。
The majority, or 64%, of UK employees, are working more hours than they’re contracted to, however, 55% struggle to make ends meet at the end of each month, according to research from job board CV-Library.
The study surveyed 1,200 working professionals and also found that 36.7% work 1-3 hours extra per week, amounting to 96 hours per year, while 11.3% work more than 15 hours extra per week.
Nearly three-quarters (74.9%) of the UK’s professionals believe they’re underpaid. Furthermore, CV-Library’s survey also found that 61.8% goes into their overdraft before the end of the month, and 32.2% struggle to pay off their credit card each month. Meanwhile, 50.6% think that colleagues at a similar level earn more than them.
Lee Biggins, founder and CEO of CV-Library commented, “It can be highly demotivating for employees to feel like they’re putting in extra hours, without reaping the rewards.” Biggins suggested that employees conduct regular pay reviews.
